Arsene Wenger has surprisingly tipped Emiliano Martinez to become Arsenal’s No. 1 in the future.

The Frenchman has used the 24-year-old sparingly this season and he finds himself behind Petr Cech and David Ospina in the pecking order.

However, Martinez has enjoyed game time in the EFL Cup and played against both Reading and Nottingham Forest.

He’s expected to keep his place against Southampton in the upcoming quarter-final tie as he looks to add to his 10 appearances for the club to date.
