2016 Los Angeles motor show:: What to expect

This year’s Paris motor show is only a month behind us, but our editorial engines are now firing up for next week’s 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Held annually, California’s big auto show is one of the largest on the calendar for North America, alongside the New York International Auto Show and the biggest, Detroit’s North American International Auto Show.

The organisers for this year’s show have promised 23 world debuts, with over 1000 cars to be displayed.

Among the brands confirmed for a world-first appearance Honda’s luxury arm Acura, Alfa Romeo, Infiniti, Jeep, Mazda, Mini, Nissan (times two), Porsche (times three), Subaru and Volkswagen. Niche brands Divergent Blade and Elio will also have something to show, and a number of other ‘to be announced’ brands are also promised.

Many of those have been revealed already, either online or during special events, but many are still to be shown and a handful have yet to be previewed at all.

What can we expect from this year’s show when the doors open later month? Catch our growing list below, but expect more than a few surprises, too.
