Teclast Tbook 16 Pro and Jumper EZpad 5s are two tablets with 11.6 inch display, Teclast comes with windows only when EZpad is dual boot and almost everything is the same. Let us see what are these small differences in these two very good tablets from two very well known companies.

Design

The entire body of the Teclast Tbook 16 Pro is made from anodized metal and has an incredibly premium feel to it. The buttons are very sturdy and responsive and the entire construction feels very solid in your hands. The color choice of the tablet is reminiscent of Apple products – something which isn’t a coincidence I am sure. When the tablet is started up for the first time, users are presented with a language menu from which you can choose your desired language. What comes after is the typical Windows 10 first time boot process. The Teclast Tbook 16 Pro features a full resolution 1920×1080 display in an 11.6 inch screen. The result is an incredibly vivid display with a viewing angle of 178 degrees. Wallpapers and windows login images are an absolute treat to look at and should be pretty helpful for designers and artists on the go. There is no protective glass such as Gorilla Glass covering the display, neither is it laminated or OGS, meaning there is an air gap between the glass and digitizer. While the screen brightness is not the brightest, topping out at 300 lux, you can see it in sunlight, but you will have to fight through reflections as it is pretty reflective. The touch sensitivity is actually pretty good for such a big tablet, and the touch response is quite instant and sensitive. The screen is definitely a strong point here, with some minor caveats such as a non laminated display meaning reflections outside. The Teclast Tbook 16 Pro has some pretty great build quality. Teclast claims a 4.9mm thickness but the tablet is much closer to 8mm. To be more exact the dimensions are 29.10 x 18.70 x 2.00 cm. Nevertheless, it still does feel thin. It’s not light, since it weights 1.447 kg and to use it as a tablet in portrait mode is a little unwieldy because of how long it is, it is much more suited to be used in landscape mode. The bezels surrounding the screen of the tablet, while not insignificant, are a lot smaller than other tablets that have associated keyboards. The left side of the tablet contains the MicroUSB port, MicroHDMI port, headphone jack, MicroSD card slot, and one of the two speakers. The right side has the other speaker. The top of the tablet has the hardware buttons and the bottom of the tablet contains the keyboard connector.

EZpad 5S looks like a stretched Surface 3, but other than this the differences between the two are relatively small. The rather thick black bezel is there with the silver border and the slightly tapered edges. The physical Windows home button has been moved but the metal kickstand – which locks in two positions (about 40- and 85-degrees) – is present. The tablet’s enclosure is entirely made of brushed aluminum. The company refers that it is as strong as stainless steel but a third lighter. The thing is that gives the sense of a plastic painted to resemble, well, brushed aluminium. The glass display is glossy and as expected, is a major fingerprint magnet, but that’s an endemic problem for (most) entry-level tablets in general.EZpad 5S features an 11.6 inch display as and the Teclast Tbook 16 Pro, with the same resolution, 1920 x 1080 (FHD). The tablet is lighter from the Teclast Tbook 16 Pro, as it weights only 927 grams and its dimensions are 29.95 x 18.58 x 1.05 cm.

Both CPU and GPU are helped by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded with an extra 128GB TF card. Both memory and internal storage is more than enough to store what ever you want and work without any problem with your tablet. Teclast has dual boot and supports Android 5.1 and Windows 10, while Jumper EZpad 5s comes with preinstalled only Windows 10.

Battery

Teclast Tbook 16 Pro comes with a 7200mAh battery. For surfing in Windows you will get about 6 and a half hours of screen on time before dying. Video playback is a much better at 8 hours. Generally you could get a full day of use. In Android battery life is actually a tiny bit better, but should be around the same. Heavy users will need to charge occasionally before bedtime, but medium and light users will be fine.

On the other hand the Jumper EZpad 5s comes with a bigger battery. The capacity is of 3.8V/8500mAh, which normally means about 8 hours for surfing and for certain one day of use.

Conclusion

Both tablets and the Jumper EZpad 5s and the Teclast Tbook 16 Pro are really very good with very strong specs. From the comparison we can see that the Jumper EZpad 5s is slightly better as it has a better battery, comes with dual cameras and has only windows, so the whole internal storage is used by one OS.
