We’re all familiar with people who cross a street looking either at their phones or straight forward, reassured by a fact that law is on their side and that drivers or riders would try to avoid causing someone else harm.
And let’s just be thankful that this lady in a green dress had the presence of mind to look traffic in the eye while she was crossing, and otherwise she might have walked straight into that out of control motorcycle.
Because that dashcam only caught some of the impact along with the aftermath, and we can’t exactly say what happened that caused the two bikers to collide.
All in all, this is yet another unlucky example that accidents can happen anytime and that pedestrians need to stay vigilant even when using a crosswalk.
Having the law on your side is of little comfort if you have already gotten hurt because you weren’t paying the sufficient attention.
